BMI receives awards for excellence in personal insurance for the third consecutive year

The Insurance Congress It is held once a year and brings together the main representatives of the region, as well as leading service providers related to the sector.

In this event the awards are made to the "Excellence in Insurance”, which are an initiative of the Chamber of Insurance Intermediaries whose objective is to motivate insurers to improve every day the service provided to intermediaries and clients. The evaluation is carried out by the 100% of the affiliated brokerage companies.

On this occasion, when the ninth installment of said recognitions was held, the vote of the brokers and general managers of the brokerages was taken into consideration as the only variable, leaving aside the weighting of the market and growth in market share.

Within the framework of the 11th Insurance Congress, BMI Costa Rica was awarded for the third consecutive year with the second place in personal insurance and first as a private insurer in the "Excellence in Insurance" awards, granted by the Chamber of Insurance Intermediaries.

Variables evaluated

The variables evaluated to grant these awards were:

  • Issuance processes and facilities
  • renewal process
  • Compensation process
  • Consumer care
  • team cohesion

Additional aspects that were taken into consideration:

  • Development of technological platforms
  • product innovation
  • Broker role value
  • proper training
  • Contribution to insurance culture

In the specific case of BMI, the aspects where it received the highest score was the process of issuing its policies and the facilities it offers to quote and fill out forms, which can be done through editable formats and different platforms available to intermediaries, as well as its issuance and acceptance process.

Another aspect was the process of renewing their policies, making the job of the insurance intermediary easier. It is important to mention other points where BMI highlighted were:

  • Compensation processes with timely payments and adequate attention to each case.
  • Customer service with good experience in communication and direct dealings with the insurer.
  • Development of technological platforms and their improvement for the use of the intermediary and the final consumer.
  • Innovation in products that respond to current needs.
  • Constant training for your sales force and insurance intermediaries about your products and market news.
  • Construction of an insurance culture in the country, through constant and active communication.
