The BMI Run4Health race aims to collaborate with the social work of the Hermano Miguel de Quito Foundation and the Ser Feliz Foundation based in Guayaquil; as well as promoting sport to bring together families and fans who want to improve a healthier lifestyle. BMI Run4Health is the most important charity competition in the country, and this year it managed to raise more than USD 35,000, which was distributed equally to the two foundations; These funds will be used to support children and young people with cancer and people with disabilities. Some of the beneficiaries attended the race where they enjoyed a special moment.
In the second edition of BMI Run4Health that took place in the cities of Quito and Guayaquil, more than 550 runners participated in 3 categories; Awards were given to the first 3 places for men and women in the 10K and 5K categories; and in the 2K category, awards were given to the first 3 places of boys and girls from 4 to 9 years old and children from 10 to 15 years old.
Among the attendees, the families of the competitors also attended and performed activities such as: warm-up exercises, yoga, relaxation massages, painting spaces and also received souvenirs from the sponsoring companies. BMI Run4Health is a PetFriendly competition, which is why many pets ran alongside their owners.
Already, the third edition of the competition is being prepared, which will take place in 2024. In this way, BMI continues with its Corporate Social Responsibility actions, focused on carrying out activities that generate a positive impact on the community.
