· Request a mammogram from the age of 34, in case of a family history of the disease. If this is not the case, it should be done every two years starting at 40, and every year when reaching 50
Although breast cancer is a common disease in women, men can get it too. It is estimated that between 60 and 70 years is the most likely age to develop it. The main risk factors include radiation exposure, a family history of breast cancer, and high levels of estrogen, which can occur with conditions such as cirrhosis or Klinefelter syndrome.
