Since the dawn of humanity, throughout its history, one of the greatest problems of human societies is a stigma that continues to this date and that, although it has diminished, it has not been eradicated in its entirety: The discrimination.
Present since the structuring of a civilized society and probably before, this stigma has been maintained for various reasons. From race, socioeconomic position, religion, nationality, political affiliation, sexual orientation and many more. This behavioral apparatus, based on a gregarious way of thinking, is discrimination put into practice and still in the present tense remains rooted in one way or another in most of the world's cultures.
This day seeks to generate mass awareness about the disadvantages of discrimination in society. It was held for the first time in 2014 and also has the main objective of promoting equality before the law and in practice in all member countries of the United Nations.
Above all this type of campaign, it is intended to gradually create generations in whose collective imagination, there is no cultural determinant of discrimination, as an object of status or superiority.
Each year that passes we are closer to achieving the goal, and each step that is taken, no matter how insignificant it may seem, has a high impact on the achievement of this goal. Remember that the best way to contribute to this cause is by putting it into practice in our daily lives, and sharing it as a philosophy of life around us.
